Into The Woods

Concept

J'ai commencé à réaliser ces planches en Février 2015, après avoir fait un travail autour des motifs avec un groupe d'élèves inspiré par le travail de mon amie Yulenka.

Ces pages m'ont servie et me servent encore de défouloir, pour ne pas dire de thérapie, et me permettent d'essayer de nouvelles choses dans mon dessin et ma narration.
Toutes les pages ont été entièrement improvisées, en écritures automatique, cases par cases, ou pages par pages.
Mes deux seules contraintes sont de faire une histoire entièrement muette, et de ne jamais refaire une case ou une page une fois qu'elle a été terminée.

Je n'ai aucune trame d'histoire, et je me laisse guider, au fil de l'inspiration.

Toutefois, je commence à entrevoir un fil rouge, personnel.
Je vous invite à vous approprier ces pages, et à vous sentir libre de créer votre propre histoire, sans filet, et sans indication.

In February 2015, I started creating them while working with pupils on patterns inspired by my friend Yulenka's work. These boards have served as a way of losing myself, almost like therapy, making it possible for me to try out new approaches in my drawings as well as in my storytelling. Box after box, page after page, I have totally improvised when drawing them. The only limits I have set myself are not to redraw any board once finished, and to create a story that would be entirely mute. I have no storyline, I just follow my inspiration. However, I'm beginning to catch the glimpse of a red thread related to my personal life. I invite you to explore these boards and feel free to imagine your own story with no direction whatsoever.
